Devon Kane Sponsored by Dressage Sport Boots

Wellington, FL(July 30,2014)   Devon Kane has been spending this summer soaking in as much knowledge and experience as she can with Hubertus Schmidt, and now her journey in the world of international dressage just gained another team member in Dressage Sport Boots.

Dressage Sport Boots provide superior protection for equine legs through their fleece lined, vinyl exterior and Coverlight strike area.  For wet conditions or turnout, they also have the All Sport Boot (ASBs), which feature lined neoprene in place of the fleece.  Style is also key in dressage performance, and DSB introduced a new line of colors in 2014: black, white, silver, patent, and pink. Riders have been thrilled with the new colors, and in the fall the DSBs and ASBs will be launching the additional colors of navy and brown. Kane has been training and riding her own horses and Schmidts’ during her time in Europe, and now her horses will be working in style and comfort in the Dressage Sport Boots.

Based out of her family’s Diamante Farms in Wellington, Florida, Kane is the head rider and trainer and had a very successful season in 2014 with Destiny, a horse she trained up to the Grand Prix herself.  She and Destiny had multiple top placings at the 2014 Adequan Global Dressage Festival, and the pair was invited to compete at the 2014 Verden CDI 3* in Germany this summer.

Despite Kane’s extensive accomplishments in dressage, she is always eager to learn more from top professionals such as Hubertus Schmidt. She has spent over a decade training with United States Olympic Bronze Medalist Michelle Gibson, and worked with Olympic Bronze Medalist and USEF Developing Coach Debbie McDonald. Her achievements include winning a USDF Gold Medal in 2012, a USDF Silver Medal in 2010, and a NAJYRC Gold Medal in 2007.

Despite the excitement of showing, her main focus in Europe will be training with Hubertus Schmidt.  In addition to Destiny, Kane also brought her young 6-year-old Winchester to Europe. “Winchester’s at a really cool place right now— I’m hoping to bring him out in small tour next year, so it’s good timing for him to go [to Europe],” she said.

After the summer of showing and training in Europe, Kane will return to her dressage training, showing, and boarding business at Diamante Farms in Wellington, Florida. To learn more about Devon Kane and Diamante Farms, visit DiamanteFarms.com or call 210-240-1614.  For more information on Dressage Sport Boots, visit their site at www.dressagesportboot.com.
