That 70s Show- For Diamante Farms’ Devon Kane, Global Dressage Festival is a Trio of Top Scores

Wellington, FL (March 17, 2016)– Devon Kane and her horses were raking in the ribbons and accepting the accolades at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida this past weekend, with scores above 70 percent in all of their classes. Kane was a formidable force in the competition on three horses owned by Diamante Farms, a premier dressage facility in Wellington operated by Devon and her mother Terri Kane.

Devon Kane and Fischer, a six-year-old Oldenburg gelding (Florencio I x De Niro) earned scores of 78.704 percent (first place) and 72.963 percent in First Level Test 1 over the weekend. Jazz Diamante, also a six-year-old Oldenburg gelding, posted scores of 76.618 percent and 74.853 percent in First Level Test 3, earning first place on both days.

The Kanes purchased both Fischer and Jazz Diamante as foals, and did not meet them in person until they were each two years old. The two proved to be all that the Kanes were hoping they would be.

“Fischer and Jazz Diamante are such good boys!” Devon Kane smiled. “They both have huge personalities and talent. I’m very lucky. Jazz Diamante is so spectacular; his natural gaits and range is amazing. He is smart and wants to do well, but he also loves to test the limits on the ground and in his training. I’m very proud of Fischer, as this was his first show ever. Fischer is the sweetest, cutest, most perfect little man. He tries 100% every day and focuses so hard on his work. They both are so extremely different, but each so much fun to work with every day.”

Diamante Farms’ ten-year-old Hanoverian stallion Sir Galanto (Stedinger x De Niro) was not to be outdone by his younger barn mates when he racked up scores of 74.306 percent for the blue ribbon and, the day before, 70.417 percent for the red in the FEI Intermediate A test. “Sir Galanto is fabulous. This was our first time riding the IA test.” Kane said. “We had some green mistakes in the test, but overall I’m so happy with our performance and how he is beginning to trust me and work through tense situations. I’m really excited for this horse’s career and future, and I honestly have so much fun showing him! Riding him every day makes me smile.” Kane plans to bring Sir Galanto out in the Grand Prix next year.
