Devon Kane's love affair with dressage ignited in the sun-drenched fields of South Texas, where horses were everyday companions, but the art of harmonious movement called to her young heart like a siren's song. As a child, she traded bareback adventures for her first formal lesson, instantly captivated by the discipline's blend of precision and partnership. Under the mentorship of Olympian Michelle Gibson, Devon's talent shone brightly early on; at the 2007 FEI North American Youth Championships, she clinched an individual gold medal and team bronze, marking the start of a journey fueled by passion and perseverance.

When her family purchased Diamante Farms in Wellington, Florida, in 2002, it became the canvas for her dreams, transforming from a family haven into a world-class equestrian hub. This roots-deep connection to the sport, nurtured through junior and young rider successes and an unyielding work ethic, reminds aspiring riders that dressage isn't just a pursuit—it's a lifelong bond that begins with that first, magical step into the saddle. Devon's path evolved into a tapestry of triumphs, from young rider stardom to international acclaim as a USDF gold medalist and Grand Prix rider. Training with Olympic gold medalist Hubertus Schmidt, Swedish team leader Bo Jena, and U.S. bronze medalists Debbie McDonald and Michelle Gibson honed her skills, enabling her to develop horses like Destiny—whom she trained from youth to claim the 2014 U.S. Dressage Finals Grand Prix Championship—and Vamos, with whom she secured individual bronze and team silver at the 2025 FEI Dressage Nations Cup USA CDIO3*.

As head trainer at Diamante Farms alongside her husband, fellow Grand Prix rider Kevin Kohmann, she rides up to 12 horses daily, tailoring her tactful approach to unlock each one's potential while competing consistently in CDIs at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival.

Beyond the arena, Devon's heart beats for giving back, embodying dressage's spirit of empathy, growth, and community through her role as head trainer and clinician at Diamante Farms. A dedicated supporter of the Vinceremos Therapeutic Riding Center—where she's chaired the Young Professionals Committee for years, raising funds for riders with disabilities.

Whether mentoring beginners or polishing FEI contenders, she fosters confidence and joy, much like the rituals she shares with Kevin to navigate competition's pressures as a united team.

Join Devon at Diamante Farms, to unlock not just technical mastery, but a transformative partnership that inspires a lifetime of equestrian fulfillment. Your dressage dreams await.
